The process – from enquiry to handover

Enquiry, quote review, route planning, crew selection, preparation on board, execution and handover: every step serves to make the delivery safe, predictable and traceable.

1. Request a quote

The first step is your enquiry via our form. Depending on your needs, choose yacht delivery, skipper hire, survey or training. On this basis we prepare an individual quote. Once you accept, we start route planning – checking which route is safe and sensible. The cost of your delivery also depends on this planning.

2. Clarify route and details

After your deposit arrives you receive a questionnaire tailored to your yacht type, covering all the essentials: type and size of the yacht, current location and destination port, technical condition, special requirements and your preferred timeframe. The more precise your answers, the better we can plan – avoiding queries and creating a clear basis for the job.

3. Check weather, waters and time window

A yacht delivery depends heavily on the weather. We assess wind, sea state, weather windows and possible stopovers. We don't plan by distance alone – safety, waters, season and technical requirements are just as decisive. Where necessary, we also handle permits, harbour formalities or entry requirements for other waters.

4. Assemble the right crew

For every delivery we select the appropriate crew, depending on yacht, route, waters and requirements. For simple legs a skipper may be sufficient; longer or more demanding deliveries call for additional crew. The crew must fit the task – only then can safety, watch system and process be planned reliably.

5. Final payment and preparation

About 14 days before the delivery the balance becomes due. After receipt of payment, the crew is briefed on yacht, route and organisation – including safety aspects, weather situation, equipment and special notes. The crew boards well prepared.

6. Crew arrival and departure

On the agreed date the crew comes on board and inspects the yacht before departure: technical and safety equipment, navigation aids, engine, sails or drive, fuel, water and supplies, documents and handover points. Once the key items are settled, the delivery begins – with regular updates to you. At the destination: a structured handover with condition check, logbook and report.
