Yacht delivery with skipper and crew
Navismare organises yacht deliveries with experienced skippers, the right crew and clear route planning. Before departure we assess yacht, route, waters and weather windows – creating a predictable process from enquiry to handover.
Weather, technology and responsibility meet at sea
Damage rarely results from extraordinary events. The more common causes: schedules that are too tight, lack of local knowledge, an overloaded crew, underestimated technology. This is exactly where an experienced delivery service proves its worth.
We plan realistically. Route and legs are chosen so that neither yacht nor crew are put under unnecessary strain. Weather windows are used – not forced. Technical anomalies are spotted early, assessed correctly and taken into account in good time.
The result: your yacht arrives. Safely, on time, and in the condition in which she was handed over.
Common reasons to have a yacht delivered
Purchase or sale
Your new yacht is in the wrong cruising area – we bring her to where you need her.
Yard & refit
Yard stay or refit in another region – outbound and return delivery from a single source.
Season change
Between the Mediterranean, North Sea or Baltic – for the season start or into winter storage.
Lack of time
Work and family don't allow a delivery of several weeks – or your crew is incomplete.

Assessing cost realistically
Many owners want to keep delivery costs down. Understandable – but safety must never suffer. A yacht delivery is not a transport job, it is a nautical task. Experience, planning and sound decisions ultimately save time, money and nerves. That is why we calculate every delivery individually and transparently.
Crew guarantee: Navismare relies exclusively on experienced professional skippers. Should a paid crew member drop out, we provide a replacement free of charge.
Insurance cover during the delivery
Despite all care, things can happen at sea. In addition to the yacht's hull insurance, our skippers carry subsidiary professional skipper liability insurance, typically with cover of up to 6 million euros – covering the essential risks of a yacht delivery.
What condition must the yacht be in?
The yacht must be seaworthy and technically functional for the planned route: a reliable drive, sound rig and sails (for sailing yachts), and working navigation, communication and safety equipment. Before departure we check the key systems – including electrics, bilge pumps, steering, fuel and cooling circuits – and agree with you what should be fixed before the start if defects are found.
Delivery on her own keel – often the better option
In many cases, delivery on her own keel is preferable to external transport. An experienced crew treats the yacht gently, monitors systems and upkeep along the way, and stays flexible. It is often cheaper, faster and logistically simpler.
