Valuation & condition surveys
Our valuations are based on established formulas and our own market observation – compliant with insurers' guidelines and case law. Condition reports and defect inspections are everyday work for us.
Purchase advice in two-person teams
We travel in teams of two and inspect the yacht efficiently and thoroughly: photo and video documentation, functional testing of all systems, checking the inventory list. You receive a detailed report with an assessment of whether the price is justified.
Build supervision & milestone surveys
Quality assurance during construction: verifying the build specification, confirming build status for payment milestones, dock & sea trials, partial and final acceptance with handover and defect protocols.
Warranty & damage cases
Reviewing warranty claims, assessing and preparing defect claims – competently, including towards shipyards and insurers.
What we inspect – from masthead to keel
- Hull, deck and superstructure; skin, bulkheads, joints; hatches and windows including leak testing
- Underwater hull: rudder, propeller, shaft installation, bow and stern thrusters, hull-keel joint, sea chests
- Ultrasonic thickness measurement – usually without removing the coating; osmosis inspection on GRP yachts
- Rig, deck fittings, winches, ground tackle, masts, spars and sails
- Main engine, generators, steering gear, autopilot, stabilisers
- Bilge, pumps, piping, seacocks, tanks, fresh and waste water systems
- Monitoring and alarm systems, bridge with navigation and controls, interior fit-out
- Functional testing of all onboard systems, sea trial, fully documented survey report
Transparent cost: the daily rate for a two-person team starts at €800 net. Economical travel keeps expenses low. If you subsequently commission a delivery with Navismare, we offer an attractive combined package of survey plus delivery.
