Since 1996, Navismare has been a trusted partner for private clients, dealers and shipyards. Behind every delivery stands a well-practised team: experienced skippers, an organised back office and qualified deckhands.
The skipper's experience counts
Our skippers are not just licensed – they bring the experience of tens of thousands of nautical miles. That allows them to react flexibly to any situation, in heavy weather as much as in confined waters. And a delivery does not start when the boat leaves the dock: during preparation the crew already implements safety measures, from equipment checks to weather planning.
Mike · Skipper & founder
Founded Navismare in 1996. Over 300,000 logged nautical miles, almost 200 yachts delivered from 30 to 150 feet. Still involved in planning every project.
Ingo · Skipper
Circumnavigator with tens of thousands of miles. Assigned to the difficult and occasionally "impossible" deliveries – he has mastered them all so far.
Alberto · Skipper
RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (commercially endorsed), STCW basic training, SRC. Bilingual (Italian/English), deployable worldwide.
Dieter · Skipper & instructor
Around 100 accident-free deliveries. Passes on his knowledge in training courses – from sextant navigation to blue-water training.
Claudia & Mareike · Skippers
Claudia: 30,000 miles, deep Mediterranean knowledge. Mareike: 15,000+ miles, RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, passages from Norway to Colombia.
Back office & deckhands
Susanne (since 1998) and Caren keep planning, weather routing and accounting running ashore; Tobi, Theo, Rüdiger, Michael and Franz bring craftsmanship, engineering and solid seamanship on board.
Berth-for-work crew network
In addition to the core team, Navismare maintains a network of around 1,000 berth-for-work ("Hand gegen Koje") sailors. The benefits are tangible:
- Cost savings: no or greatly reduced crew costs
- Qualification: many hold considerable experience and licences
- Flexibility: crew available at short notice for one-way legs, transfers or short stages
- Resilience: with a larger crew, illness or drop-outs can usually be compensated
